NEMON TOOLS ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Nemon Tools web application and the Nemon Tools Chrome Browser Extension. Our single purpose is to provide web developers, UI/UX designers, content creators, and everyday internet users with fast, private, client-side productivity utilities (such as color pickers, font inspectors, JSON formatters, Base64 converters, PDF tools, and QR code generators).
2. User Data Collection
Nemon Tools and the Nemon Tools Chrome Extension do not collect, capture, or log any personal data or sensitive user information. Specifically:
We do not collect personally identifiable information (such as name, address, phone number, or email).
We do not collect authentication credentials, passwords, or financial payment details.
We do not track, record, or monitor your web browsing history, visited URLs, or online activity.
We do not read or extract web content from tabs unless explicitly requested by you (e.g., using the Eyedropper Color Picker tool).
3. User Data Handling and Usage
All tool processing is executed 100% locally on your device inside your browser session.
activeTab permission: Used strictly upon user action to sample DOM colors or inspect typography styles on the currently active tab.
contextMenus permission: Used solely to provide right-click context menu shortcuts for quick tool launches.
storage permission: Used to store non-sensitive local preferences (such as recent color palettes) directly on your device.
scripting permission: Used strictly to temporarily render the color picker loupe overlay on the active tab upon explicit user invocation.
No input data (JSON strings, text, images, or sampled colors) is ever processed on external servers.
4. User Data Storage and Retention
Nemon Tools does not maintain remote databases or server storage.
Non-sensitive preferences (such as dark mode toggle, recent color palette samples, or default unit selections) are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (`chrome.storage.local`).
This stored data remains entirely on your physical device and is never uploaded, backed up, or synced to any external server.
You can clear this local data at any time by clearing your browser's site data or uninstalling the extension.
5. User Data Sharing and Disclosure
We enforce a strict Zero Third-Party Data Sharing policy:
We do not sell, rent, trade, or lease user data to third parties, data brokers, or advertisers under any circumstances.
We do not share user data for targeted advertising or marketing purposes.
We do not transmit user data to external analytics services or remote code endpoints.
